The Silver Bullet

An opinion in popular sports

Inspiring Win.

Game 5: Ten different players scored a goal in last night’s stint against the Canuckleheads. Six of them were for the sharks, four were not. Team Teal entered the night having learned a lesson the night before against Edmonton… Play all sixty minutes and don’t take costly penalties. They did it correctly this time around and came out on top. Ryan Smyth wasn’t to be found, Thank God. Curtis Brown and Mike Grier both scored on breakaways and Milan Michalek notched two more points, both assists. I guess my predictions were a little off, but I knew the boys would drop one on the road. The Sharks return to town on Tuesday when they’ll take on the Dallas Stars who are on their west coast swing. Detroit stumbles into the tank on Thursday. The Sharks stand 4-1 and are tied with the Stars for the Pacific Division lead.

Notes: Vesa Toskala recorded his first point of the season, assisting on Curtis Brown’s shorthanded breakaway. Ron Wilson hasn’t stated who (Toskala or Nabokov) will be in net on Tuesday Night against Dallas.
