The Silver Bullet

An opinion in popular sports

Game 1: Too Close for Comfort

With the game pretty much in hand, the Sharks probably thought they could sit back. They probably thought they could chill out and wait for game 2 on Friday. What they didn’t think about was the Nashville Predators.  And how quickly the Sharks became their Prey. Just before the end of regulation, Nashville tied the game to force overtime.

The Sharks would end up winning the contest in the second overtime period on Patrick Rissmiller’s “seven hole” goal. Unfortunately, this one was too close for comfort. Hopefully, the Sharks will take this as a lesson, and not wait to trap the opposing team when up two goals. The boys in teal should not rest easy. They should not be comfortable. Nashville will show up Friday Night with double the intensity and double the desperation.

This series is far from over.
