The Silver Bullet

An opinion in popular sports

Hannan takes his flight.

Long Time Sharks defenseman Scott Hannan has flown the waters to the high altitudes in Denver. NHL.com announced tonight that Hannan has inked a four year $18 million deal with the Colorado Avalanche. Hannan is only twnety eight and had 24 points with the Sharks last season.

This on the same day that Joe Thornton signes a three year extension, practically screaming, ” San Jose is the place for me!” This extension locks up the 2006 MVP until 2011. His comments insinuated he is hoping to keep this current roster as together as possible.

Other moves so far this offseason include the trade of goaltender Vesa Toskala and forward Mark Bell.
